At Ocean Park Beach, Jose Angel Catala and Charlotte Serrano teach Bomba, Puerto Rico’s African-rooted music and dance, with live drumming and traditional skirts. You’ll learn basic steps, hear the story behind the form, and dance near the José Celso Barbosa statue as the sun sets.
“We had the best time. Learned a lot about our culture from our instructor. My Daughter's sweet 16 was the most memorable because of this class. Would definitely recommend. The only thing I would complain about is the floor, it was rocky and tree stumps on the ground that made it hard to dance around but the location was beautiful on the beach and the view was gorgeous.”
